It all started in spring 2014: A Hatiora (Easter Cactus), more precisely Hatiora x 'Pegasus' intrigued me one day when I went by it. Usually, this plant produces pink blooms and, when new stem-segments are born, they are a tender green before becoming darker green a few months later.

However, I noticed that, in an unusual way, the new stem-segments that were growing had shades of pink, recalling the color of the blooms.

Intrigued, I started to photograph these young pinkish stem-segments and I transferred the photographs on my computer.
